Whoo hoo! I got some new Trekker XXL yarn in a GORGEOUS colorway. I am housesitting at the moment, so I will have to post photos when I get back home. Just excited is all.
Also, my friend is doing "A Day In My Life" photo study that I will be contributing to soon. I'll keep y'all posted.

The Sickness
So today I've been sick. Mostly just icky tummy and backache. But I felt a lot better when a strange box appeared at the door. Then I realized that the Debbie Bliss Cashmerino that I ordered eons ago and forgotten had finally arrived. So fondling new yarn is definately something I plan to do this evening.
I was also thinking how no one ever reads this blog. It's kinda depressing. Although what should I really expect? I don't promote it, nor do I want to. I don't update daily. I rarely update about crafts. I've joined the ranks of all the other faceless internet bloggers who say a lot to very few. Just having one of those days I guess. Forgive the melancholy. I'll be better in the morning.

Update! Photos of the prettyness.
So I finally got around to photographing the most recent yarn binge. So excited, so many ideas. Here's the entire stash, to the right. So excited to add it to my collection. I am realizing now that
I need more storage areas for my pretties. My two baskets are getting kinda full. In the interest of keeping such lovely yarn safe and happy, I think I am going to "invest" in one of those clear plastic sets of drawers that one can find at Target. Not the loveliest looking storage solution, but it'll be handy to keep my wools, acrylics, cottons, silks, and miscellaneous all separate and organized. Me, organized. HAH!
Anyway, I have to show y'all a closeup of the gorgeous banana silk (that's right, banana silk) that I bought. It's such a lovely green color, the photo just doesn't do it justice. Not sure what I am going to make out of it though. I don't have enough for a shawl or anything. I was thinking a hat but I really have no idea. Maybe a lace hat? Oh the decisions one must make in the interest of gorgeous yarn.
And of course one mustn't forget the awesome buttons. Check 'em out!

Much Prettyness...
Our LYS is going out of business, which is sad, but they had a huge sale which is happy. I bought lots of pretty things. Sock yarns, polo to make hats and other nifties, some banana silk which I have no idea what to do with, and so on. I'm in the process of moving the office/craft area to the now empty second bedroom, but once all that is done, I will take photos of the prettyness for all to enjoy!

So tired.
Mom showed me her knitting. She's now learned to cast on (!) and has knitted about 4 inches of the scarf she is making. I started her learning just knit stitch. When she finishes this scarf, she should be the lord and master of knit stitch and I will set her a task in purling. Oh happy day. I'm really very proud of her.
That was the good part of my parents' visit.
The bad part was that they came to help me move out my roommate to his new apartment. We couldn't have done it without my dad. He's a hero. Anyway, got up at 6:30am which is WAY too early for a night owl like me. Moved, loaded, huffed, and puffed till around 10:30am when we finally were able to drive all his sh*t to the new place. And let me say he's got a lot of sh*t. Of course he's got nothing on me, but the majority of my massive amount of stuff is crafting related. So it took us until about 1pm to unload the thing. Seriously, my dad is superman. I'm going to make him a pair of blue FuzzyFeet slippers to keep him warm at their cold house in winter. Currently he wears a pair I made for my mom, but those are pink... and my dad's too macho for pink slippers.
I wonder, if a man won't wear pink, is that because he's TOO macho or not macho enough? Food for thought anyway.
